UAE WEATHER LINKS

Planning your dive in the UAE requires some idea of what the weather is up to however be warned that it is not an exact science and we have had many trips where windy weather is predicted yet it is flat calm - and visa versa.

For your planning you will need to know about the effects of sea breeze and how it is created / works. If you don't understand this feature you will struggle a bit as there is quite a dominant effect on the Arabian Coast.

If you have a strong westerly or north westerly - time to head for the east coast. We have had many enjoyable days on the east diving in flat waters close to the Musandam Cliffs when the rest of the UAE has been completely blown out.

These top two are the ones i use for my dive planning in the Arabian Gulf;

Wind Guru about 20km off shore- Dubai Mound - Forecast for Dubai Gulf Waters

Arabian Gulf Wave Model - For information on wave heights and direction

Gulf of Oman Wave Model - For information on wave heights and direction

EasyTide - For tide information
