Steven Beckett : known to some as Buckethead, known to most as Mr Fluffkins, or Fluffy for short, and known to the occasional few as Steven.

I'm the general member for the Club, and no, that doesn't mean I'm a General, but I sure would love to be!!!! I'm still trying to grow the moustache!

I think being General Member means I get to do any jobs that no one else on the Committee wants to do!

Joking aside, I've been a member of DSDC since 2002 and try to help out at the club wherever I can, whether it be towing, committee member or instructing.

I first learnt to dive in 2002 when my lovely wife paid for us to do a PADI Open Water Course for my birthday. I later joined DSDC and crossed-over to BSAC where I progressed to Dive Leader whilst also training to become an Instructor. I am now one of the Clubs many qualified BSAC Instructors.

Last year I was on the Committee as Training Officer and successfully organized a number of diving and Skill Development Courses.

I've done over 250 dives, mostly in the UAE and Oman , but also in the Maldives , Thailand , Malaysia , South Africa and Mozambique . My best experience to date has to be diving with raggie-toothed sharks in South Africa .

I'm now starting to venture into the more technical side of diving and have completed advanced nitrox and extended range courses and will shortly be starting a TDI trimix course.
